Welcome to Northwest Fraud Investigators Association
97th Anniversary of NWFIA!
The "Northwest Check Investigators Association" was founded in 1929 by ten passionate law enforcement officers who saw the possibility of curbing the ever- increasing problem of "bad check passing". On October 21, 1989, our name changed to Northwest Fraud Investigators Association (NWFIA) to reflect the ever-expanded responsibilities of our members.
Dear NWFIA & PNLTFA Members,
On behalf of the Northwest Fraud Investigators Association (NWFIA), we are delighted to extend a warm welcome to the members of the Pacific Northwest License, Tax & Fraud Association (PNLTFA). We are truly excited to have you joining our community.
Our organizations share a strong commitment to integrity, education, and collaboration within our profession. We believe that our common interests and aligned missions create a meaningful opportunity to work together, share expertise, and support one another as we pursue our shared professional goals. By coming together, we strengthen not only our individual associations, but the profession as a whole.
We are especially looking forward to the opportunity to connect with you in person later this fall at the 2026 NWFIA Annual Fraud Conference. We are excited to meet you, learn from you, and begin building strong working relationships that we hope will continue well into the future.
We are working on updating our website and combining our rosters. Shortly we will send out welcome emails to PNLTFA members including your new NWFIA membership certificates.
